You can push a background image onto your users’ mobile devices. Images can be configured to fill the entire display or be placed centrally with a colored background. Background images can be made available for fully managed devices with or without kiosk mode.
Aim
The aim is to create a policy that allows a background image to be distributed to the users’ devices.
Implementation
- Select Administration→ Policies in the Administration Portal. Click on the plus sign to create a new policy.
- Then select Android and select the Fully Managed Device enrollment method.
Note! A background image can also be provided for devices in Kiosk mode.
- Enable the Use custom wallpaper under Wallpaper (upper arrow in illus.).
- Then select your background image by clicking Choose wallpaper (lower arrow in illus.).
You can now set up a background image that fills the entire display or a centrally placed image with a background color ein.
For a full-sized background image, just upload the image and leave all other settings as they are.
You then assign the new policy to the users:
- To do so, select the appropriate policy and click on Assign.
- Now select the users, groups or devices to whom you would like to assign the policy.
The policy with the background image will be pushed onto the devices:
If you want to place the background image in the center and set an accompanying background color, select the Centered option under Fit (upper arrow in illus.) and specify your preferred color under Background color (lower arrow in illus.).
You then assign the new policy to the users:
- To do so, select the appropriate policy and click on Assign.
- Now select the users, groups or devices to whom you would like to assign the policy.
The policy with the centered background image and background color is pushed onto the users’ devices:
Note! It is not possible at this stage to assign a background color without a background image.
