01/11/24 – Cortado MDM with new Android Wi-Fi profile

We are pleased to inform you that we have completely revised our Wi-Fi profile for Android. Following the introduction of some important new Android policies for managing Wi-Fi settings at Cortado back in October, we have now comprehensively updated the Wi-Fi profile for Android. The new Wi-Fi profile has been adapted to the settings known from Android devices.Wi-Fi settings on Android device and on administration portal

We are also providing new functions for devices running Android 13 or higher. All new Wi-Fi profiles can be configured with proxy, MAC address and IP settings.

Of course, the new Wi-Fi profile supports both the current WPA3 Personal and Enterprise security protocols, as well as the WPA3 Enterprise 192-bit standard for highly secure connections, which has been available since Android 11.

You can find out how to set up your new Wi-Fi profile for Android in our help article Create a Wi-Fi profile for Android devices.

Note! Existing Wi-Fi profiles should be replaced by the new profiles. There are a few important points to note here. Further information can be found in our help article How to migrate your deprecated Wi-Fi profile for Android devices.
