With this IMAP profile, you can automatically configure the email accounts (Mail app) of your macOS users. It ensures that users do not have to manually enter server data, ports, or passwords. Instead, these values are set centrally here.
- First, proceed as described here.
- Select IMAP as the profile you want to add. The following dialog box will open.

Make the following settings here:
- Profile name: Assign a name to your profile.
- Account name: If this is a profile for all users, keep the default setting Automatic. The name will then be read automatically. Alternatively, you can also use variables. Instead, enter the name for the account if you want to create the profile for a specific user.
- Account description: Enter the display name of the account here.
- Email address: If this is a profile for all users, keep the default setting Automatic. If you want to create the profile for a specific user, enter the email address for the account instead.
